Other Activities

Although middle school science is our main focus, we extend the same concepts to other subjects. Art from Waste is one of our science extension activities. We also educate students about health and hygiene, responsible use of resources, safety, home/school waste segregation, career opportunities and vocational courses through interaction with college students and communication campaigns. 

 

We organise online spoken English training for older school and college students. This was an activity we got into during Covid lockdowns when schools were closed. 

 

We are in the process of setting up vocational courses and training at an orphanage school on the outskirts of Chennai. One of a Tanushka’s main goals is to introduce vocational courses in all govt schools as part of the curriculum. Eventually, we hope vocational courses will fetch a high school certificate from a recognised Board that is accepted in colleges and by potential employers.
