Curious People brings private school students together with host schools which maybe government schools, private charitable schools or NGO -run schools. The students interact closely and exchange ideas. Having been previously briefed, they prepare demos of experiments in basic concepts of Spencer subjects like heat, light, magnetism, sound and states of matter that we see around us, as well as simple chemical changes that happen in the kitchen and in the garden everyday.
The highlight of Project Curious People is the absence of lab equipment, machines or devices. The students are encouraged to come up with experiments using day-to-day objects which they come across at home, at school, on the streets, among broken and discarded things, small amounts of kitchen provisions, stationery and even food items. The result is magical synergy between students, a memorable activity and high retention.
Learning is a complete circle with students from both institutions (host as well as private) gain from the project. It is not only science but also social interaction and empathy that they learn.
